Integrity Above All. As a core value at Ocean Spray, it speaks to how we do right by this cooperative, our farmer-owners, and each other. How we hold ourselves accountable. Kelsey Olsen, Customs and Trade Compliance Lead, was honored this year as a Board of Director Award winner for living that value in all aspects of her work, in particular making sure we are in compliance with critical trade and customs regulations. She literally has this co-op's back. Bravo and congratulations Kelsey! Thanks for all that you do!
Inclusive teamwork is about engaging all perspectives, making space for collaboration, and ensuring voices are heard. Our fourth Board of Director Award of Excellence winner this year, Data Governance Lead Katie Gagne, brings this value to life each day. She pulls together cross functional teams and stakeholders, making sure they are represented in all crucial data definitions and requirements. She also makes it fun and engaging for her fellow team members! Katie, thank you for your patience, positive attitude, and Inclusive mindset. We appreciate you!
Safety is embedded in the way we operate, how we work well together, and how we care about each other as team members. And the team that helps us champion safety always, is our EHS crew! They are the heart of our safety commitment and are passionate about making sure every single person goes home safely.
Ocean Spray's Maintenance Manager in Middleboro, MA, Ed Picone, is our latest Board of Directors honoree--recognized for how he embodies our value of Sustainable Results. We are honored to have your support and dedication day in and day out- Thank you, Ed and congratulations!
Each year, Ocean Spray's Board of Directors (made up of our farmer-owners) honors team members with the Award of Excellence--the highest honor our cooperative bestows upon those stand-out team members who live and exemplify our Core Values. We'd love for you to me meet Laura Tobin, Senior Manager, Sales Operations, one of our four incredible winners this year. Laura, we're so grateful for your passionate commitment to the cooperative, and care for your fellow team members, for the past 33 years!
We are happy to share that Kristin Forney will officially be Ocean Spray’s new CFO. She is an incredible leader, and we cannot wait for her to be part of the Finance and overall Ocean Spray Team.
"There are two things about Ocean Spray that are so special: who I work for and who I work with. If you want to be an integral part of a team making a positive difference every day for family farmers, then Ocean Spray is the place to be.” That is direct from Scott Stears, Vice President, Beverage Manufacturing. He began as an Operations Supervisor at our Kenosha, Wisconsin facility before his hard work and well-respected leadership style took him to Wisconsin Rapids, Tomah, Markham and Middleboro—ultimately landing in his current role. We’re thankful to have folks like Scott on our team—and while we know he is one of a kind, we know.
We’re proud to offer competitive wages, world class benefits, and unique career opportunities to our roughly 2,000 team members around the world. We also recognize that financial challenges can happen to anyone in life and asking for help isn’t always easy. Our partnership with Canary on a Team Member Relief Fund enables peers to contribute and support each other in difficult circumstances.
Another wonderfully bold and creative entry from our team. Not to mention, it highlights our functional beverages in the Better For You space for consumers, showing what you can do with All That Power™!
Harvest season is in full swing, which means our receiving locations are busy helping our grower-owners bring their crop in. Meet one of our receiving team members working hard this harvest season: Leroy Kummer, Senior Manager, Agriculture Area Operations! Leroy oversees the Wisconsin receiving process, our largest growing region, which consists of 6 receiving locations and 7 fresh packing sites. Director of Agriculture Operations, Dan Malvey says, “Despite the complex Wisconsin receiving network, Leroy always maintains a can-do attitude that translates down to the entire Wisconsin receiving team. Leroy has built up a strong team that willingly accepts the challenge of bringing in the harvest as efficiently and safely as possible.”
