The Parry Labs Olympics are a wrap, and what a competition it was. From rubber band archery to paper plane distance challenges, a typing speed sprint, and a company creativity competition featuring flags, mascots, and some truly inspired GIFs and memes, our team showed up, showed out, and brought every ounce of competitive energy to the table. Whether teammates were on-site or dialing in from their home offices, the spirit was the same: all in. At Parry Labs, we believe the best teams aren't just built in the field. They're built in the moments between the mission. Events like the Parry Labs Olympics are a reminder that our culture isn't something we only talk about. It's something we live. And we do it together, across every site and time zone. Proud to work alongside people who can engineer complex defense systems AND nail a paper plane toss. If you're looking for a place where your career is serious, but the culture keeps you energized, we're hiring. Check out our open roles and come join the team: https://lnkd.in/gkmEx5KC

The Warfighter Isn't an Abstraction At Parry Labs, "the mission" isn't just a slogan for Steve P. It's personal. A Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve with eight years of active-duty service and nine years in Department of Defense program management, Steve has spent his career on both sides of the acquisition challenge: The Soldier waiting on capability and the system responsible for delivering it. "I still serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve, so 'the warfighter' isn't an abstraction to me. It's people I know," Steve says. "Our mission means the systems Soldiers depend on at the tactical edge actually work, integrate seamlessly, and evolve faster than the threat." That sense of urgency is exactly what drew him to Parry Labs. After years of watching critical capabilities move too slowly through traditional acquisition processes, he found a company focused on open architectures, modular systems, and delivering mission-ready technology to the field faster. "The work matters, genuinely and measurably, to national defense, and I get to do it alongside engineers who are incredibly talented, humble, and driven to solve hard problems." That's why we innovate. Because for our team, the mission isn't abstract. It's personal.
Not all software companies are built for the battlefield. Some are built to maximize platform adoption. Others are built to maximize mission success. Those are not always the same thing. There’s a growing belief that enterprise software is simply destined to become defense software with a few security controls and government certifications layered on top. Our Dan M. believes that’s a fundamental misunderstanding of what command and control at the tactical edge actually requires. When your software has to operate disconnected, on constrained hardware, in denied and degraded environments, architecture stops being an IT decision. It becomes a combat capability. The next generation of defense software won’t be defined by who has the biggest platform. It’ll be defined by who enables the fastest integration of new capabilities, the fewest operational dependencies, and the shortest path from innovation to the warfighter.
"How do we take multiple large, sophisticated combat platforms and make them scalable from a software and interoperability standpoint?” Parry’s John Parkes and Amber Walker appeared in the latest episode of The Drone Ultimatum podcast to discuss the evolution of military software, the push toward open architectures, and why integration remains one of the hardest problems in defense. We’re excited to announce and welcome Don Claussen as our new chief executive officer, joining today and bringing more than two decades of executive leadership in defense and technology -- including as CEO of ST Engineering iDirect, senior roles at L3Harris and Viasat, and eight years of active duty service, and deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq on tactical communications programs. Don understands what the warfighter needs because he’s been there. John Parkes transitions to Executive Chairman, focused on the strategy, relationships, and long-term vision he’s been building since co-founding Parry in 2016. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. The open architecture foundation this mission demands -- we’re just getting started. https://lnkd.in/e5FSRtEj #TeamParry #AI #AutonomyAtScale #DefenseTech

At Parry Labs, we believe great ideas do not always happen at a desk. Sometimes they happen on the move. Our May Engagement theme encouraged teams to take meetings outside, and the response was fantastic. From walking 1:1s to outdoor brainstorms to fresh air check ins, employees across the company, both in office and remote, embraced the chance to step outdoors and recharge. These small changes brought big benefits: more energy, more creativity, and a renewed sense of wellbeing. We are proud of a culture that supports balance, connection, and new ways of thinking. Here is to more sunshine, more movement, and more moments that strengthen how we work together.

Submarine modernization is one of the hardest integration problems in defense. Combat systems, C2, and communications architectures are tightly coupled and difficult to upgrade without introducing risk. But the pace of threats is accelerating, and speed of modernization is becoming a requirement, not a preference. Parry Labs is focused on solving this exact challenge, delivering modular, software-defined infrastructure that enables faster integration and deployment across complex systems. That same problem is now front and center in the undersea domain. Parry's own Mitchell Riley's participation in last week’s Undersea Warfare Conference reflects the growing importance of this work, and the need for solutions that can keep pace with mission demands. #UnderseaWarfare #DefenseTech #SystemsIntegration #SoftwareDefined #ParryLabs

#EngineersWeek At Parry Labs, our people are the engine behind every breakthrough. Anton is one of the engineers who helps bring our hardware solutions to life, supporting the warfighters who rely on our technology to stay safe and execute their missions with confidence. A typical day for Anton blends structure with discovery, tackling planned tasks while solving new challenges that emerge across programs. What he looks forward to most is the collaboration: Working through solutions with teammates, helping others get unstuck, and driving forward‑looking initiatives that strengthen our engineering organization. His work directly supports Parry Lab’s mission to deliver repeatable, high‑quality hardware solutions that our customers depend on in the field. Every design review, every improvement, and every problem solved contributes to systems that must perform when it matters most. And what keeps Anton energized is simple: Parry’s people. Being inspired by colleagues (and inspiring them in return) fuels his passion for the work and reinforces the shared commitment to those who serve. Join our team: https://lnkd.in/eyBrYjwx
