Paylocity commemorates June 19th, known as “Juneteenth” which celebrates the end of slavery in the U.S. by hosting a session with thought leader and academic from the Black community, Ruha Benjamin. Ruha is an Associate Professor in the Department of African America Studies at Princeton, where she studies the social dimensions of science, technology, and medicine, race and citizenship, knowledge and power. She is also an author of multiple books, including the Race After Technology: Abolitionist Tools for the New Jim Code which delves into technology’s relationship with, and effect on, systemic racism leading to cases of “discriminatory design.”

Many students didn't get an opportunity for a traditional graduation this year so Paylocity hosted a virtual graduation and invited employees' graduates to celebrate their accomplishments. It also included a commencement speech from our own CEO!
