As International Women' s Day approaches, we are proud to be recognized by 2020 Women on Boards as a “W” Winning Company for our commitment to board diversity. Peabody received the recognition for having a gender-diverse board of directors with at least 20% women directors in 2019. In 2020, Peabody’s board of directors increased in gender diversity for the second consecutive year, with women now representing 25 percent of the current 12-member board.
Peabody’s Conal Hearps, a production operator and step up production coordinator at Moorvale Mine, has won a Queensland Resources Council/Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (QRC/WIMARQ) Resources Award in the Exceptional Trade/Technician/Operator category. The annual Women in Resources Awards recognizes and celebrates the contributions and achievements of women in Queensland’s resources sector. The awards honor women who champion gender diversity in mining and are outstanding role models and ambassadors for girls and women inside and outside the sector. Congratulations, Conal, and good luck as a finalist at the Australian Women in Resources Awards to be presented in Canberra later this year!

National Miners Day: Peabody joins organizations across the U.S. today to recognize the thousands of men and women who work in our nation’s mines. We recognize our miners’ great commitment and immense contributions to providing affordable, reliable energy and an essential ingredient in steelmaking every day.
Peabody People: A total of 15 families in need in the Lynnville, Ind. area will receive Thanksgiving food baskets as a result of donations made by our Wild Boar Mine team. The baskets include food for an entire holiday meal and additional items were donated to the local food bank. We are thankful for the many contributions our team members make to their local communities! Happy Thanksgiving!
