Thanks to the thoughtful feedback of our staff members, we've been named to Fortune's List of Best Workplaces for Women!
We’re so proud that Paul Blowers has been named one of 20 finalists for the Michigan CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards. Congrats to Paul, whose dedication to leadership and innovation is what sets him apart. Congratulations, Paul!
Diverse teams outperform non-diverse teams - every time. We understand that diversity is crucial across the accounting industry, and it's why we strive to support students through our Track internship program. Learn more about the program through our feature in MLive.
Our IT team thrives on growth, collaboration, and respect. That’s why we’ve been named one of the “100 Best Places to Work in IT” by Insider Pro and Computerworld for 2020.
Our “We care” philosophy has served as our guiding light during these times of global change. We care about you, your families, and our communities. We’re dedicated to ensuring all of our candidates experience a smooth hiring process without putting anyone’s safety at risk. That’s why we’ve implemented a fully virtual interview, orientation, and onboarding process. New staff will work from a remote environment until it’s safe for all staff members to return to our offices, which will be determined by our management team.
Our Southfield office held its annual chili cook off, a fierce competition between the savory, spicy, and all around tastiest chilis in the office. Congrats to winners Jill Kulchinsky, Amber Platzke and Tony Vitale!
Caring is part of our culture. So we're celebrating Giving Tuesday by kicking off our United Way donation campaign.
Over the past three weeks, we raised more than $110,000 firmwide for Plante Moran Cares via our “Make the Mark” campaign. Plante Moran Cares benefits staff-selected charities across our footprint, and we’re proud that more than 60 percent of our staff participated in this most recent endeavor. But don’t think charitable giving is only done as part of firmwide campaigns. Offices plan their own campaigns, too. Most recently, Traverse City Staff Member Doug Leonhardt volunteered to shave his head if the office raised $1,000 in a month. Not surprisingly, they raised that money in record time! As you can see, we have a lot of fun while giving back.
It’s been an exciting year! On Oct. 1, 2018, Plante Moran officially joined forces with Colorado-based EKS&H, becoming the 11th largest accounting, tax, consulting, and wealth management firm in the nation. Combining with this like-minded firm that valued clients and staff above all else allowed us to expand our U.S. presence beyond the Great Lakes region and strengthen our expertise in key market segments like energy. Our two firms have best-in-class cultures. In fact, we have a combined 29 years on Fortune magazine’s list of the “Best Companies to Work For”!
