Same size. Not the same water use. A QTS closed-loop data center uses about 600,000 gallons of water annually, less than farms, golf courses, theaters or five homes. Designed to be different.
Meet Brittney Block, Critical Operations Technician, Army veteran and former SkillBridge intern. Brittney's internship equipped her with the knowledge and experience she needed to make a smooth transition from the military to a corporate setting at QTS.
Responsible growth starts with our commitment to communities. In 2025, QTS gave back in a big way, totaling 22,000+ volunteer hours, $9.7M+ in charitable contributions and countless partnerships with global organizations aligned with our core values.
Recently, we had the opportunity to host the Apprenticeship Careers Day in Northumberland, bringing together some of the region's biggest employers - including Northumberland Police, the Port of Blyth, Newcastle Red Bulls, Cundall, Axis and Wates - to show local young people potential career pathways ahead. Students had the chance to explore apprenticeship opportunities across construction, engineering, logistics, emergency services and sport, hearing directly from employers and asking questions about how to take their first steps into these industries. As we develop one of the UK's largest data centre campuses at Cambois, investing in the next generation here in Northumberland is central to our mission - including creating 150 apprenticeships for local young people. A huge thank you to every employer, educator and student who made the day such a success.
QTS connects the world with purpose, not just through our innovative data centers, but through our commitment to the communities we call home. In line with our core values, we engage in a wide range of volunteer opportunities and community partnerships to help others in need.
Data centers don’t run themselves. Behind the scenes, our facility operations team works around the clock to keep everything operating 24/7/365. Hear directly from the people at the center of our operations as they share why they love the work and their advice for anyone interested in joining the industry.
What makes QTS Data Centers different? Beyond building and operating data centers, we're dedicated to uplifting communities through job creation, community engagement and sustainable practices. This means we aim to meet the specialized needs of each community through partnership.
We’re more than the data center next door. We’re neighbors, volunteers and partners who are committed to uplifting our communities through service, meaningful impact and support of organizations that make a difference.
QTS is committed to the places it calls home – and to strengthening local economies, advancing sustainability, protecting residents’ energy rates and responsibly delivering the infrastructure that enables modern digital life.
