After working with the QC in the Community program, the Terminal 184 team was able to pull it off. Thank you to everyone involved for making an impact this holiday season!

Every year, Quality Carriers partners with A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay to help grant holiday wishes for foster children. A Kid’s Place is a non-profit that focuses on keeping brothers and sisters together during their time in foster care. During the holidays, foster children tell A Kid’s Place what gift they would like to receive. A Kid’s Place delivers this list to QC, and QC team members from across the country volunteer to purchase and deliver these gifts. Melissa Tracy, Corporate Office Manager at QC, collected and delivered over 100 gifts from QC team members for A Kid’s Place. Thank you to everyone who participated in helping us spread holiday cheer to these children.

Every year, QC Driver German Segura decorates a christmas tree on the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere on Interstate 90 in Wyoming to help spread some holiday cheer to travelers. The tree has become a popular attraction for locals and drivers alike. It’s even been featured in the local news. But this year, German ran into some troubles when his truck broke down in Sioux Falls, North Dakota. He needed an engine replacement, so he stayed with his vehicle for as long as he could, but when the repairs dragged on, he had to fly home to Texas. But as the holiday season approached, his vehicle still wasn’t ready to roll, and he realized that he was going to have to take drastic measures to continue this holiday tradition. As his family helped prepare the decor for the lonely christmas tree, German set up to work organizing his emergency backup plan. German recruited two of his friends, rented a truck, threw all of his supplies into the back, then made the haul up north. He met up with local friends to decorate the tree, and it’s now shining bright to bring happiness to those who travel this remote stretch of I90. Director Operations, Ellen Keesee, reflected “Once again it is a pleasure to work and be friends with someone who so enjoys bringing happiness to others, German is one of a kind and it shows with everything he does!” Way to go above and beyond, German!

Quality Carriers supported the Wreaths Across America mission again this year! The 538/539 team went above and beyond by picking up a trailer loaded with wreaths in Maine, delivering them to seven cemeteries in New York, and laying wreaths at the Saratoga National Cemetery. The mission couldn’t have been accomplished without the box trailer loaned from terminal 115. Special shoutout to our professional drivers Ernest Brodowski and Ed Robart who handled transporting and placing wreaths.
