Meet the San Antonio Transportation team! The Rimkus San Antonio team provides a deep bench of expertise to support clients as they navigate complex transportation matters. Rapid response to the scene is vital, as vehicles may be moved and roadway evidence can disappear or be impacted by weather, further complicating the accident reconstruction process. Our strategically located offices and experts in south Texas allow us to respond quickly to accident scenes. Rimkus consultants can document site conditions, examine vehicle damage characteristics, inspect mechanical/electrical systems, and preserve hard evidence. We can analyze the specifics, such as speed and direction of the vehicles, force of impact, skid-mark lengths, line-of-sight, road conditions, traffic controls, and other pertinent data, to determine the facts of the case. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and years of real-world experience, we provide clients with a comprehensive approach to accident reconstruction. Do you have experience with accident reconstruction? To meet the needs of our clients, Rimkus is seeking to fill several open roles for Accident Reconstructionists throughout the United States, including in Dallas, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; and beyond! Juneteenth is a day to honor and celebrate Black culture and history. Do you know the history of this important day? According to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, “The origins of Juneteenth date to June 1865. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 and the Confederate army surrendered to the Union army in April 1865, enslaved people in Texas — the westernmost Confederate state — could not exercise their freedom until June 19, 1865. On that date, Union General Gordon Granger led some 2,000 Union troops, many of whom were Black, into Galveston Bay, where they announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as ‘Juneteenth,’ deriving its name from combining ‘June’ and ‘nineteenth.’” Rimkus headquarters are in Houston, Texas, approximately 50 miles from Galveston. We recognize the significant role our home state plays in history and are committed to doing our part to ensure a safe, inclusive, and equal environment for every member of our team. Happy Juneteenth!
