"Expanding the PACE model in Nevada will empower seniors with choice, dignity, and the ability to remain in their communities while receiving the full spectrum of medical and social services.” SCAN's Director of State Government Affairs, Kelsey Avery recently testified before the Nevada Senate Committee on Health and Human Services in strong support of Senate Bill 207—which proposes creating a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Nevada. PACE providers, like SCAN's myPlace Health, allow medically frail, low-income seniors to age and thrive at home rather than in institutional settings. 📱 SCAN is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a mobile-first member experience following a strategic investment in League, the leading healthcare consumer experience (CX) platform known for using data and AI to drive health engagement. The use of the League platform will enable an enhanced digital member experience and power the roll out of the SCAN Member Portal in Spring of 2025 and the SCAN Member App in Summer of 2025. “We are seeing more and more of our members seeking tech-based support options to enhance and streamline their healthcare experience and investing in a consumer experience platform allows us to keep our members at the center of our mission,” said Rona Li, SCAN’s Chief Corporate Development Officer. “By meeting seniors where they are and fostering more personalized relationships, we can help keep them healthy and independent—because their well-being is at the heart of everything we do.” Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/gctEp3ft
As a not-for-profit, SCAN's focus is to do what's right for our members, and that was at the heart of our Leadership Summit. Rebels across the organization came together not just to share bold ideas on how we can keep raising the bar in care, but also to collaborate on something special—a mural that represents our Ways of Working and our guiding "North Star". This summit was a reminder that when we innovate and push boundaries together, there's no limit to what we can achieve. 💪
With this year's Modern Healthcare Healthcare 40 Under 40 winners just announced—including SCAN's very own Chief Corporate Development Officer Rona Li—previous winners offer advice to this year's class. Here's what class of 2015 winner and SCAN CEO Dr. Sachin H. Jain, MD, MBA had to share: "Anyone entering healthcare should always prepare for the unexpected. SCAN's Healthcare in Action (HIA) is making a real difference within the unhoused population, and their impact is being noticed. Alongside SCAN CEO Dr. Sachin Jain, the HIA team was featured on CBS News showing how they bring much needed care to over 3,500 patients through their street medicine model. "We're just one patient interaction in some cases from actually solving these people's problems." said Dr. Sachin Jain, highlighting how homelessness is a health issue. HIA's work isn't just innovative—it's a part of SCAN's mission and not-for-profit identity. Since 1977, SCAN has been dedicated to improving access to quality care for those who need it most. Healthcare in Action serves as an extension of that commitment. A commitment to rebelling against a broken healthcare system. A commitment to understanding that there are real lives at stake. A commitment to ensuring that the most vulnerable populations receive not just treatment, but dignity, compassion, and hope. Watch the CBS segment to see how we're redefining care and staying true to our mission: https://www.cbsnews.com/video/street-doctors-bring-health-care-to-homeless-people-in-los-angeles/ Special thanks to HIA CEO Indu Subaiya, Catherine Parsekian, Eric Barerra, Daniela Vieira, Viridiana Zavala, and the entire HIA team for all of your passion, dedication, and meaningful work that makes this all possible.
