SCS Engineers welcomes Michael Wright to the firm as Senior Project Manager in Environmental Services. Wright’s work takes underutilized or contaminated properties and returns them to productive use. Wright comes to SCS as a licensed professional geologist, geophysicist, hydrogeologist, and licensed general contractor. He has more than 35 years of experience on national projects, including work for the Federal Department of Defense, Army Corps of Engineers, EPA, Forest Service, and Caltrans. His clients include those in commercial real estate, finance and manufacturing, and port authorities, including the Port of Los Angeles. Wright also has an extensive background in conducting environmental insurance claim investigations and providing litigation support. Wright holds specialty certifications in OSHA Health and Safety, OSHA Hazard Recognition, and Constructions Quality Management for Contractors. Wright holds professional affiliations with the Bay Area Geophysical Society, Groundwater Resources Association, and National Ground Water Association. Welcome to SCS, Michael!

What we are looking for SCS Engineers is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in our Long Beach Headquarters. If you are organized, efficient, analytical and a critical thinking go-getter then this position could be for you. You will need to be hybrid in the Long Beach office for this role. How you can make an impact as an Accounts Payable Clerk Under the direct supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the AP Clerk is responsible for various duties related to Accounts Payable Provide data entry of invoices and support services to branch offices Create purchase orders using the purchase order module Verifies entered batches and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data Maintain vendor files including Certificate of Insurance and W-9 information Assist in corporate documentation Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or 3 years of accounts payable experience (if no degree) required Experience in the construction or engineering industry preferred. Data entry experience preferred.
