Securus Technologies, and our subsidiary, JPay, are doing great things to help incarcerated individuals get college educations. Almost 80,000 incarcerated individuals have enrolled in courses via Lantern since the program’s inception across multiple Department of Corrections; and, Over 33,000 college credits have been earned by students since 2016.
Great video of our Associates' volunteer day for Feed My Starving Children in Dallas on August 3, 2018. So thank you to all Associates who volunteered to make the event such a success. In total over the 3 day mobile pack, participants packed 1,018,656 meals. A few other fun facts are: • In total, over 4,000 volunteers attended the event; • Over 102,000 pounds of rice was carried and then scooped….one coffee cup at a time; • Nearly 35,000 pounds of soy was also used; • Almost 7,000 pounds of vitamin powder and 3,000 pounds of freeze dried vegetables were scooped – in two tablespoons increments; • We have raised nearly half of the $220,00 needed to cover all the meals.
Securus Technologies Associates participated in an event on Friday, August 3 for Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization who helps feed hungry children around the globe. As part of this volunteering event, we boxed 423 packages of food, created 91,368 meals, and will be responsible for helping to feed 250 children over the next year.
