Last week seven SOLV Energy team members attended the annual Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Leadership Forum in Minneapolis. They joined professionals from across the United States to discuss current trends in the renewables industry and how to further their professional development. SOLV Energy's Jessica Lawrence-Vaca and Steffanie Dohn addressed Clean Energy Wins in the Biden-Harris Administration and the Challenges of Disinformation in the Renewables Industry as panelists at this year's event. This event connects over 2,500 Indigenous high school and college students, educators and professionals with opportunities to learn, network and interview with corporate, government, private foundation, nonprofit and tribal partners. Together with Heart of America and California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, SOLV Energy developed the Skip the Grid initiative to bring light to K-12 students and their families in the Navajo Nation. Community Relations Manager, Alyssa Grant, talks about how the program has grown and the role that storytelling plays in growing solar energy's ripple effect in communities.
