Rebuilding a community does not happen overnight. It takes extensive planning and we’re very proud to say that our organization played a critical role in helping many families in Cameron, Louisiana in returning to normalcy after Hurricane Laura taking place in August 2020. Sabre Industries partners with NIPP 2013 (Partnering for Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience) on responding to natural disasters. Every aspect of each individual's role here at Sabre is vital to restoring hope and normalcy to those affected by Natural Disasters.

Last week our Sioux City team participated in Sergeant Bluff-Luton Senior High School's College and Career Fair. We created an interactive board that has the students answer weld questions and take Sabre's tape measure test. We're looking forward to a few of the students coming onboard when they graduate!

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) was launched nationwide in October 1987 — to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues. Over the past 30+ years much progress has been made to support domestic violence victims and survivors, and to hold those abusers accountable. On October 15th our facility in Bossier, LA went purple in support of #domesticviolenceawarenessmonth Speak up and speak out 💜

We're honoring Francisco Arreguin today during #HispanicHeritageMonth. Francisco has been with Sabre Industries, Inc. for the past 20 years and loves working with Machinery. He was born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico and moved to Texas when he was 18 years old. He is very proud of his heritage and loves the history, food, and the friendly people of Mexico! We celebrate you, Francisco.

Sabre honored two of our employees last week for their quick thinking and application of first responder training. The certificate says, “Lifesaving Award proudly presented for successful effort in saving a human life which involved exceptional courage and performance". Our Safety team spoke with the employee that had the blocked airway and he was very proud that we had first responders on the team that knew the Heimlich maneuver. He quoted, “He saved my life”.

This training is a highly engaging, experiential workshop designed to develop leaders deep in the organization to differentiate our people.
