Christmas is over but YOU are still spreading joy! Because of your generous donations to the #FishChristmasWish fund, Fish Listeners have blessed a beautiful young woman with the gift of mobility! Shadeah, from Sugar Hill, is a graduate from Georgia Tech and Harvard Medical School. In 2018, she suffered a severe and incapacitating brain injury due to an unknown viral infection that attacked her brain, causing injury to motor skills leaving her unable to stand, walk, eat and speak. Over Christmas, FISH LISTENERS gifted Shadeah with an adaptive mobility bicycle for exercise and therapy. When using her new bike, it was one of her first chances to truly move on her own. The joy she felt was palpable. The ability to pedal this cycle is a great way for her to continue to develop the coordination and strength needed to progress to higher level functional activities. It also gives her and her parents, Isam and Laila a way to interact in a joyous activity as a family. THANK YOU!”
