Samsung Electronics announced that Dr. Hamid Sheikh of Samsung Research America (SRA) and Dr. Sven Dickinson of the Samsung AI Center (SAIC) in Toronto have both been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organization. “Fellow” is the highest grade awarded by the IEEE, and is conferred by the institute’s Board of Directors when a person demonstrates an outstanding record of accomplishment in any of the IEEE’s fields of interest. The total number of fellows selected in any one year cannot exceed 0.1 percent of the organization’s total voting membership.

Enabling People: Empowering the next generation to achieve their full potential. As part of our #SamsungGives Day of Service, we had the privilege of hosting AVID students from Los Altos High School at our Mountain View, CA campus. AVID is an internationally recognized program designed to prepare high school students for success in four-year colleges and universities. Students had the opportunity to hear from #Samsung employees and learn about their career journeys. Thank you to everyone who participated! It was a joy to share our experiences and insights, and witness so much excitement for the future.
