Tara Chander Sriram, Sr. Industrial Designer at SRA's Think Tank Team, participated in the 2023 KeyShot World Tour in San Francisco, CA. Tara's presentation was about the Samsung Bot Chef, a concept kitchen 'co-bot' (collaborative robot) developed by TTT. Bot Chef was showcased at IFA 2019 in Berlin, as part of Samsung's Future Kitchen booth. The KeyShot World Tour brings together experts in 3D rendering and animation to explore the future of KeyShot and discover strategies to make more informed design decisions.
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming our little ones for a day of cooking and fun. This special day not only gives our children a glimpse into where we work, but also reinforces the importance of family. Our summer intern program is officially in full swing! Our most recent in-person event was a scavenger hunt where our interns got to test their problemsolving skills, teamwork, and creativity. Shout out to the winning team for navigating the clues with lightning speed and showcasing exceptional teamwork and determination.
Congratulations to Mark Trayer from SRA’s Standards and Mobility Innovation team for receiving the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) Working Group Outstanding Contributor Award. The award recognizes Mark’s leadership and contributions to the Matter Working Group. The award was presented during the 2023 CSA All Member Meeting. CSA ignites creativity and collaboration in the Internet of Things, by developing, evolving, and promoting universal open standards that enable all things to securely connect and interact.
Honored to announce that one of our researchers has been elected as the new Chair of the #FiRa Consortium, designed to grow Ultra-Wideband #UWB ecosystem. Congratulations to Clint Chaplin from SRA’s Standards & Mobility Innovation Team. Clint’s election reflects his strength and #leadership as previous FiRa Secretary. The FiRa Consortium is designed to grow the #UWB ecosystem so new use cases for fine ranging capabilities can thrive, ultimately setting a new standard in seamless user #experiences. The #FiRa name, which stands for "Fine Ranging," highlights #UWB #technology's unique ability to deliver unprecedented accuracy when measuring the distance or determining the relative position of a target.
We partnered with our Mountain View Campus Café (Bon Appetit) and Fitness Center (EXOS) to host a special event focused on educating employees about the importance of #hydration and electrolytes now that summer has officially begun! All event participants got to enjoy free samples and free swag while learning about the importance of staying hydrated. At LifeatSRA, we are passionate about employee wellness and take a proactive approach in helping them achieve overall wellbeing.

This powerful initiative enables our talented teams to come together, exchange ideas, and drive breakthroughs in their respective fields. Last month, we told you about the Best Technical Paper Award our Digital Media Solutions Audio Lab received at the 154th Audio Engineering Convention. Today, we invite you to read more about their research and new initiatives to improve audio quality from consumer devices. "We are honored to receive this best paper award from AES.
