Our recent Customer Operations offsite meeting had a special mission attached to the agenda. Our Sandata Gives Back event entailed assembling 300 snack packs that will be handed out to guests at the YMCA Van Buren Center Shelter. Due to the current affordable housing crisis, the shelter has 434 individuals in their family shelter, 271 in their single adult women’s shelter – making it one of the largest shelters in the U.S. Their kitchen closes after dinner service, and they still need food supplies for over 60 individuals each night who may have not had anything to eat. This is where our snack packs come in, to help fill the gap so no one will go hungry. This initiative was not only fun, but aligns well with our mission and the important work we do every day.
