As part of their Pride Month celebrations, the North America Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee at Sartorius hosted a "Pride Celebration and Employee Appreciation Party" at the site in Bohemia. Committee members, allies and all interested employees were invited to come together, discuss and exchange ideas. A highlight was the LGBT Trivia Contest, where participants had a chance to test their knowledge of LGBTQIA history and pop culture in a fun and engaging manner. Construction completed in Ann Arbor! Two years after breaking ground in the Tech Loop at Research Park, Sartorius today celebrates the opening of its new Center of Excellence for Bioanalytics in Ann Arbor, Hashtag#Michigan, USA. The 130,000-square-foot facility houses a modern manufacturing and services area, biology labs, a warehouse, office and training spaces, as well as a Customer Interaction Center (CIC). It was built with a focus on sustainability. Sartorius is expanding its multidisciplinary collaboration with NVIDIA to help enable the development of new and better therapies, combining Sartorius’ in-depth knowledge of life sciences and bioprocessing with NVIDIA’s AI-powered computing platforms and software. Sartorius is collaborating with biopharmaceutical company Sanofi to develop an end-to-end platform for integrated and continuous downstream bioprocessing. Selected as a preferred supplier, Sartorius will contribute its engineering and manufacturing expertise to commercialize ICB platforms based on prototypes developed by Sanofi. In return, Sanofi will grant Sartorius exclusive access to its know-how and patents related to the ICB platform. “Technological innovation is crucial for biopharmaceutical companies to significantly reduce the cost of drug manufacturing - while improving the environmental footprint of their operations – and ultimately getting life-saving drugs to patients faster,” said Jan Schäfer, Head of Separation Systems at Sartorius. “This collaboration will help Sartorius to further expand its position as a leading company in the field of integrated and continuous bioprocessing.” Read media release: https://ow.ly/gReA50REhBO
