24 Team Members working together with one common goal; safety. Each year our Wilmington operation cuts about 750,000 tons of petcoke and has done so injury- and incident-free for 9 years! The Operations Manager at the location attributes this milestone to keeping everyone involved and staying focused.
Is your company moving employees back to the office? Here's some tips from our team at EnviroServe on how to do it safely.
Our communities need our help. More than 1.6 million people have contracted #coronavirus worldwide, resulting in nearly 100,000 deaths. Many small businesses have shuttered—or are on the brink of shuttering—their doors permanently, and a record 16.8 million Americans filed for unemployment over the last 3 weeks. Join Savage Services and #RisetotheChallenge in providing assistance to those struggling in the wake of #COVID19 via United Way of Salt Lake or your local United Way chapter. Together we can connect those in need to more than 10,000 resources across the state. Donate today at https://lnkd.in/gDD58Vk. United Way “has the connections in the community with partners to be able to help the people that need it most.” -Kirk Aubry, Savage CEO
Last week United Way of Salt Lake Board Member and Savage Services CEO Kirk Aubry launched a virtual giving campaign at Savage to raise funds for those affected by COVID19. In just 48 hours, Team Members at our Service Support Center extended our record of 100% participation to 17 years and generated an even greater financial commitment than last year. We are incredibly proud of the generosity of our Team Members and their commitment to #liveunited. We invite organizations that can to rise to the challenge, put community first, and consider donating to United Way or another reputable nonprofit providing #coronavirus relief. Together we truly can make a difference. Hear more about Savage’s 48-hour giving campaign in Kirk Aubry’s interview on KSL Live Mic with Lee Lonsberry (start at the 3-minute mark).
Savage teams in every operation are taking steps to protect themselves, their families, and our Customers and Partners from COVID19. While many industries are slowing down, our EnviroServe team is utilizing their 30 years of decontamination experience to stop the spread of Coronavirus in our communities. If your organization is in need of decontamination, let EnviroServe deploy our proprietary SafeSite℠ service with EPA-approved, hospital-grade disinfectants and a proven process to disinfect and sterilize your location. See how we can help at https://lnkd.in/gy9h6C2.

Meet Toby Mims, an 8-year Savage Team Member and driver at our Customer’s Lake City, Florida Transportation and Liquids Terminal. After discharging his sulfur load on December 16, Toby passed the railcar venting area and noticed a couple of operators laying on the ground that appeared to be unconscious. As he slowed his truck to assess the situation, his personal H2S monitor began to alarm. He quickly evacuated the area, reported the incident to our Customer’s emergency response team, and assisted the team in administering CPR. Because of Toby’s immediate actions, both operators regained consciousness and were transported to local hospitals for treatment and recovery. Toby later said he’s grateful for the H2S training provided by Savage as it enabled him to respond in a calm and safe manner. Thank you for ensuring the safety of our Team Members and Customers, Toby!
