Our AE Studio 2 and remote team members recently came together in Downers Grove for a face-to-face collaboration and team-building event at Activate. The experience gave the team a chance to connect in person and take on interactive challenges centered on communication and teamwork. Strong teams are built through both the work and the moments that help people connect beyond the screen.
We had a great day on the course in support of Ronald McDonald House Southern California. We were proud to serve as the Driving Range Sponsor for this year’s golf outing, supporting an organization that provides comfort and care for families when they need it most. Thank you to Frederick Vehorn, Matt McGee, Anthony Owen, and Jason Faust for representing Sevan. Special shoutout to Jason for taking first place in the putting contest and bringing home a raffle prize. We’re always grateful for opportunities to support meaningful causes alongside our team and partners.
Giving back is part of who we are. We recently partnered with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois for a blood donation event supporting local patients in need. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the event a success.
Our team members recently joined T-Mobile For Business at the Fisher House Foundation in Hines, IL for a spring cleanup. The Fisher House Foundation, supported through the Sevan Charitable Foundation, serves military and veteran families, and we’re proud to contribute to its mission. Thank you to everyone who helped make a meaningful impact.
It was great connecting with the next generation of industry talent at the University of Texas at Arlington! Members of our team met with students to share more about careers in construction, program management, and the many paths available in our industry. Thank you to the University of Texas at Arlington for hosting us, and to Guisele Rickett, Jonathan L., and Emily Perez for representing Sevan and engaging with such an impressive group of students.
We are so honored to be recognized as a 2026 Top Performers by Associated Builders and Contractors. Congratulations to all those recognized.
We recently attended career fairs at BYU and the University of Cincinnati, where we met students eager to explore careers in construction, engineering, and project management. We’re grateful for the chance to engage with talented students and look forward to seeing where their careers take them. We’re excited to start the year with two meaningful recognitions! We earned the HIREVets Medallion Platinum Award, the U.S. Department of Labor’s highest honor for employers committed to recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans. In addition, we were named a Top 300 Architecture Firm by Architectural Record! We’re proud to be a place where their skills, leadership, and experience continue to grow and make an impact.
Earlier this month, Scott and Jim represented Sevan at the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) 2025 National Veteran Business Matchmaking Conference in Spartanburg, SC. They connected with leaders and organizations dedicated to supporting and elevating veteran-owned businesses. We were excited to meet Nilka Garcia, Senior Manager of U.S. Small Business Development at Walmart, who shared her enthusiasm for connecting with partners and asked thoughtful questions about Sevan’s work and our long-standing commitment as a certified Veteran-Owned Business (VOB). Scott and Jim also spent time with the Denny’s team—Steve Dunn, David Demers, CFE, Jaylen Glover, and April Kelly-Drummond—continuing to strengthen a partnership built through Sevan’s work with both Denny’s and Keke’s Breakfast Cafe. They were given a tour of the Mobile Relief Diner by Paul Spencer and learned more about Denny’s community impact initiatives, including their support of the JROTC 50 State Scholarship Program. We’re proud to support NVBDC’s mission and to build partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to veterans, community service, and making a meaningful impact.
This fall, our Sevan team hit the road, visiting career fairs at the University of Cincinnati, Texas A&M University, Prairie View A&M University, and Brigham Young University to connect with the next generation of builders, engineers, and innovators. We had a great time meeting so many passionate students and sharing what makes Sevan a great place to grow a career. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make these events a success!
