SIG SAUER Electro-Optics division in Oregon has been 3D printing plastic face shields to donate to healthcare providers, along with donating KN-95 face masks and hand sanitizer to law enforcement in the local community. Additionally, the face shields have also been delivered to healthcare providers in the New England region where the SIG SAUER Headquarters is located.
After prioritizing the health and safety of SIG Sauer's employees, the company turned its efforts to support PPE to help meet the nationwide shortage. Police and fire departments have expressed their gratitude to SIG Sauer for the company’s efforts to support first responders and healthcare workers by reallocating and donating their supply of personal protective equipment (PPE). As of this writing, SIG Sauer has provided more than 1,300 KN95 masks to 18 police and fire units in the states of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, near SIG Sauer headquarters, as well as to departments in Arkansas where SIG Sauer’s ammunition plant is located. Additionally, SIG Sauer’s Electro-Optics division in Oregon has been 3D printing plastic face shields to donate to Medical Teams International who outfits doctors and nurses on mobile COVID-19 testing vans in the greater metro area of Portland, Oregon. SIG Sauer will also be donating these face shields to local healthcare workers and hospitals in Oregon, Arkansas and New Hampshire in the coming weeks.
