In 2021, we launched our Inclusive Sound initiative to connect women and underrepresented communities to career opportunities in music production. This year, we are proud to support We Are Moving The Needle and Immersive and Inclusive Audio — two impactful nonprofits working to close the gender gap and promote equity in the music industry. Founded by Grammy award-winning sound mixer Emily Lazar, We Are Moving The Needle uplifts emerging producers and engineers through mentorships and community-building opportunities. To improve representation in spatial audio production, renowned mixer and sound editor Dr. Leslie Gaston-Bird CAS MPSE launched Immersive and Inclusive Audio to offer accessible certification courses. Sonos Unveils Next Generation Beam with Support for Dolby Atmos and New Audio Formats. Beam (Gen 2) sets the standard for compact soundbars with a richer, more immersive listening experience. With plans to launch on Sonos later this year via Amazon Music, Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos Music will give fans more ways to enjoy their favorite tracks on Sonos.
