Regional Manager Justin Reaves relays a highlight from the Lincoln Nebraska team. On a Saturday in July, Site Manager Eric Lacy, Site Lead Todd Bright, Officer Nate Mcllhaney, Officer Austin Ehlers and Officer Ali Kuku participated in an open house for our client. Tasks performed were guided tours, entry posts screeners and parking control. The day's activities were flawless, and the client was pleased with the teams' professionalism. At the event, approximately 500 employees and family members attended. The client could not say enough good things about how smoothly and effortlessly the day went with the Sunstates teams' assistance and presence. Congrats to Christy Souther Jones of Charlotte on her recent promotion to Operations Manager! Additionally, she performs comprehensive management duties that include screening, training, scheduling, and inspection of security officers. She serves as the primary point of contact for her customers, making frequent site visits and ensuring excellent service. Before joining the Sunstates team, Christina was an Intake Officer at the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office. Christina studied Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration.

Sunstates Security is excited to announce Officer Jacqueline Green of the Mid-Atlantic region has been selected as the 2021 recipient of the prestigious ASIS Ralph Day Award. This is a great honor for Ms. Green and she is excited and very appreciative of the recognition. During the Sunstates Annual Leadership Conference, she was awarded Sunstates’ Officer of the Year for her heroic efforts during the riots in Wilmington, DE last spring. Following that, Sunstates nominated her for the Ralph Day Award. Receiving the Ralph Day Award is an exceptional achievement and reflects Officer Green’s commitment to her role as a security professional. Without a group supporting this award, it would not be possible. Thank you to the ASIS International team for offering and promoting this honor and Trackforce Valiant, for sponsoring it and providing the monetary bonus to the recipient. And finally, a big thank you to all the security officers! You are the face of your companies and keep operations moving daily. Keep up the great work, and congratulations to all that were nominated.

Situational awareness refers to the state of being actively aware of your environment and the things happening around you. The Department of Homeland Security highlights the impact of situational awareness with the “If You See Something, Say Something™” campaign starting in 2010. “If you See Something, Say Something™” is a simple and effective program that reminds and encourages the public to report anything that looks out of place in their normal operating scope. While isolated incidents may seem minor in and of themselves, when reported to the proper law enforcement authorities, they may collectively create a pattern that is indicative of potential terrorism, crime or other threats. Please read our article for more details. #SituationalAwareness #BeAware #SeeSomethingSaySomething #WhatToLookFor #DHS #WhoWhatWhereWhen #Crime #SuspiciousActivity #ValuableInformation #StaySafe #StayAlert #ReportCrime #SecurityServices #SunstatesSecurity #SecurityCompany #SecurityPersonnel
