Applications for TeachStart will open at the beginning of April for California, Arizona, New Jersey, and Louisiana! TeachStart is an accessible pathway to becoming a credentialed teacher. As a TeachStart fellow, you’ll earn a full-time salary, benefits and expert training, all while working towards your lead teaching credential.
Foundations Training is our 5-day training intensive designed to help Fellows build the skills and mindsets to create safe, welcoming classrooms. In a recent article, we dug into what we cover in Foundations Training and how our Fellows were able to actively apply what they learned.

We’re so proud of TeachStart Fellow Katie Dillard for sharing her story with The Hechinger Report. Katie is raising her son as a single parent, and thought that her dream of becoming a teacher would never come true; the barriers to the profession were too high. TeachStart fellow Benjamin Duran understands the importance of having strong role models. ⭐️ Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a teacher because of his own teachers who believed in him and his potential. A DACA recipient, Benjamin is eager to build relationships with and mentor students who relate to his own background.
