Scion has completed its latest strategic expansion with the acquisition, in a joint venture with a longstanding equity partner, of Reflection, a 741-bed student housing community just a block from Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta. The 25-story building opened in 2022 and features striking views, fitness and yoga studios, a luxurious elevated pool and recreation deck, and ample resident study and meeting spaces. “Reflection is an asset of the highest quality. We are pleased to complete this strategic acquisition and expand into yet another tier-1 campus market,” said Clayton Merritt, Scion’s Senior Vice President, Capital and Investments. “We look forward to implementing our best-in-class operating platform and serving the Georgia State Market.”

The Scion Group comes bearing great news. We are expanding our benefits offerings to provide employees with more opportunities to partake in experiences outside of work that add meaning to their lives. Starting this year, new mothers will receive 12 weeks paid medical, maternity leave. Fathers, adoptive parents, or foster parents will be provided four weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive two floating holidays to celebrate and honor traditions outside of the additional eight holidays Scion provides. Lastly, we are thrilled to announce that we will provide up to $1000 annual reimbursement to assist with the cost of educational expenses.
