The Waters shines at the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s The Waters would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, whether by walking with our team or participating in the fundraising initiatives at our communities. Between donations and t-shirt sales at the event, The Waters raised over $10,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association in addition to our sponsorship! Highlights of the Twin Cities walk: The Waters sponsored the 2.3 mile route water stop and volunteers handed out over 3,500 water bottles to walk participants. Over 100 residents, family members, friends and The Waters team members signed up to walk on our team. The Alzheimer’s Association reported they were expecting 12,000 participants for the 2017 walk. The Twin Cities walk was one of the largest walks in the nation, both from the number of participants and the amount of funds raised. The Waters recognized amongst leaders in Senior Living and Women-Owned Businesses The Waters was recognized by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal as being the fourth largest senior living company, and the third largest woman-owned business in the Twin Cities 24-county metro area. Lynn Carlson Schell is the CEO and majority owner of The Waters, a senior living company that has 8 locations throughout the Twin Cities and Rochester, along with a new community in Wexford, PA.
