Most teams building agentic AI obsess over model choice. That's the wrong question. Once your model is wrapped in a harness, the harder question is: where does the agent's runtime state live — and who controls it? Switch frameworks? Rebuild memory from scratch. Agent gets interrupted mid-task? It restarts with no record of what it already tried. The problem isn't the model. It's where the state lived.
