For our summer internship program we switched things up to create an enriching and fulfilling experience for interns, which included farm tours with TCCA farmer-owners, resumé and interview workshops with Director of Talent Acquisition Felicia M. Rivers, a “college-inspired” cooking demo with Creamery Executive Chef Josh Archibald and of course, a day at the Creamery visitors center. We are filled with gratitude and appreciation for this hard-working group of aspiring professionals!

In April, we safely opened our doors to full capacity for our office-based team members in Tillamook and Portland. As we welcomed employees back, we put great effort into creating opportunities for team members to reconnect and build relationships, as well as help them feel safe and supported, on the job and off. While there is plenty of work ahead of us as we adapt to a new hybrid work model, we are optimistic about co-creating an environment that is truly, uniquely Tillamook. Here are some of the ways we’ve helped our corporate employees adjust to the new way of working: - Surprise gift cards for employees to use at a local coffee shop and morning bagels (with Tillamook Cream Cheese spread, of course!) - Picture day for team members to refresh their company headshot - “New Hire Welcome” gathering for team members who were hired amid the pandemic - Customizable name tags to help meet and recognize new and unfamiliar faces around the office - Online training for people leaders and teams to help facilitate hybrid work model optimization through Tillacademy

To celebrate and show our appreciation for our employees this year, we hosted a COVID-safe drive-through carnival complete with a dunk tank, photo booth and even a cow udder ring toss! Filled with laughter and team comradery, it was a great Employee Appreciation complete with a custom branded hoodie gift for each employee and plenty of Tillamook cheese.
