Trivium’s Leadership Team recently came together for their quarterly summit meeting — a time to reflect, realign, and refocus on our mission. During the summit, leaders reviewed accomplishments from Quarter 1, discussed priorities and initiatives on the horizon for Quarter 2, and explored Trivium’s vision for the future. The session also featured guest speaker Matt Mainelli, Vice President of Organizational Development at Goodwill, who shared powerful insights on what it means to be a good leader and the lasting impact strong leadership can have on others. The summit served as an important reminder that leadership is more than guiding teams — it’s about inspiring growth, building trust, and empowering others to make a difference every day.
As part of Trivium Life Services’ 50th Anniversary Celebration, our Day Habilitation location in Missouri Valley hosted a special ribbon-cutting event with the Missouri Valley Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the official opening of our brand-new basketball court! This exciting addition provides a fun and active space for our clients to connect, build friendships, and enjoy the outdoors. The new court has already become a favorite spot for friendly games, laughter, and community gatherings—perfectly reflecting Trivium’s mission of Creating Hope, Empowering Lives, and Inspiring Communities. We are excited to share that Misty Smith has been selected for the inaugural cohort of ANCOR’s Direct Support Professional (DSP) Ambassador Program! This national program recognizes outstanding DSPs who are leading the way in advocacy for the direct support workforce. As an Ambassador, Misty will have the opportunity to grow her skills as a storyteller, advocate, and spokesperson--helping to elevate the voices of DSPs and highlight the vital role they play in making community inclusion possible for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we are hosting special events for our staff, clients, and their family members in each of our communities. This month our Atlantic community hosted their event at Sunnyside Range they enjoy a relaxing morning filled with putt putt golf, light refreshments, and plenty of smiles. It was a great opportunity to come together, celebrate our shared journey, and create new memories with those we serve. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Hy-Vee in Atlantic for generously donating a delicious cake for the event. Your support helped make the day even sweeter!
