We're excited to have Summer Teaching Fellow Jacquese Harrison join our team at Leadership Prep Bed-Stuy Middle Academy this fall. He is a Morehouse graduate who saw had his debt erased thanks to a gift to the Class of 2019 by billionaire Robert F. Smith. Jacari Bryant was among 130 rising college seniors who spent their summer in a classroom with Uncommon Schools and North Star Academy in Newark. The Summer Teaching Fellowship aims to attract college students from all majors who are interested in teaching, and immerses them in classroom instruction for 7-10 weeks. In addition to the hands-on experience, Fellows receive one-on-one mentoring from master teachers, and join a cohort of talented individuals.
