Andrea Garcia, Clinical Evaluation Manager VNSNY CHOICE Health Plans I was attracted to VNSNY because I often crossed paths with VNSNY nurses while I was in the field doing assessments. They impressed me as being so proficient and seemed to really like their jobs. I began my nursing career in an acute care (hospital) setting, however my interest was drawn to what happens to patients after discharge – how they can stay as well as possible once they return home. When I interviewed here, I was thrilled to find that my future managers were incredibly smart, energetic, and kind - I really hoped they would hire me! I'm glad they did, because as a new employee, I feel really well-supported by my colleagues and by the company as a whole.

Tomorrow, November 28, is #GivingTuesday, a national day devoted to giving back when individuals and corporations support an organization or a cause whose mission is important to them. When I was first introduced to the Medicaid/Medicare consulting industry, I often heard it mentioned that “VNSNY CHOICE is the Cadillac of health plans” and it resonated with me. As I was looking at new job opportunities, I was inspired by the quote, “If you’re looking for a bigger role, maybe it’s time to find a bigger stage.” I knew it was time to take the plunge and VNSNY’s reputation, history and standards for excellence would be a good fit for me.
