Our 2017 Scholars in Home Health Care concluded their 8-week internship program on August 2 with a completion ceremony that included student presentations, awards, and remarks from VNSNY nursing and business leaders. The cohort of ten Scholars included nursing students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in nursing and graduate students pursuing degrees in occupational or physical therapy. In addition to attending biweekly education days and shadowing VNSNY clinicians, the Scholars worked side-by-side with our HCCs (Intake RNs) and Intake staff at hospitals throughout NYC. Thank you to all of the VNSNY staff who supported the program this summer and provided the Scholars with this unique and valuable learning experience. Best wishes to all of our 2017 VNSNY Scholars as they return to school to continue their studies.

Working at VISITING NURSE SERVICE OF NEW YORK
The VNSNY 2017 Charitable Care and Community Benefit Report demonstrates the many ways that we continue our mission to provide a safety net for the most at-risk New Yorkers. This work would not be possible without the support of community partners and generous donors, including hundreds of VNSNY staff members who made a donation to our charitable care programs last year. A number of those programs are highlighted in this report which also features individuals whose lives have been impacted by the programs. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ4RR
