VUMC congratulates Howard Price, Technical Supervisor III, in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, on 60 years of service! For more than 30 years Price worked part time, on weekends, making VTM (viral transport media) for the Department of Pediatric Infectious Disease, while working full time in Pathology before it fell under the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology — one of the many changes he has experienced during his time at VUMC. “Howard is the epitome of the Vanderbilt employee. His credo and work ethic are both outstanding and he is very knowledgeable about his job. He always performs his duties to the best of his ability. He is kind to everyone and goes above and beyond to make sure his staff and the rest of the lab have what they need to be able to perform their duties. Without his knowledge and expertise, the lab would not have been able to perform the COVID testing that we have done to this point." — Pam Foster, Microbiology Team Leader
