What makes Veeam Veeamazing? APJ Senior Vice President Shiva Pillay tells us why its our People!
Throughout December, Veeamers across the world are taking part in acts of kindness and then nominating each other to do the same. From checking in on a neighbor, to helping out with a local charity, or even sending a greeting card to let someone know that you’re thinking of them, no act is too small! It's all about giving back to our communities after the Veeamazing year we've had
Back in September, we invited Veeamers all over the world to participate in World Clean-up Day – and #Veeamers in Russia and Prague rolled up their sleeves to help with litter collections and other nature clean-up activities. They used their #VeeamCares time (every #veeamer gets 3 days off to give back to society!) to volunteer for these activities, making the world a more beautiful, green place.
We love celebrating our employees at #Veeam! Today, let’s get to know Sarah Tedesco, Sr. Field Marketing Manager, from our North America team. Q: What are you responsible for in your role? A: I am on the NA Field Team primarily managing the overall strategy and execution of programs for the Commercial segment nationally. I additionally support the Commercial West executing programs for Veeam customers and prospects. Q: What is your favorite thing about working for Veeam? A: The people, I look for any opportunity to collaborate with my marketing/sales peers, a great Veeam campaign usually has A LOT of Veeamers behind the scenes making it happen. Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself! A: I have lived in Los Angeles my entire life 4 different addresses all within a one-mile radius of each other, to say I know and love the area may be an understatement!
As part of #worldcleanupday, we're encouraging Veeamers all over the world to take part in #veeamazing activities that make the Earth a little bit more beautiful and green! Can't do a physical clean-up? No problem — get to work on your phone, hard drive or server space to clean up emails, files, apps, duplicates of photos and videos! When we remove digital waste we are not just emitting less CO2, we are also extending the life of our hardware. Veeamer Marek Vesa is an avid runner and always looking for ways to put his abilities toward a good cause. Recently, Marek participated in the Autism24 #ultramarathon and broke his own 2020 record by running 105 km in 24 hours! But Marek isn’t in it for the records – he’s doing this to help collect as many donations as possible to support 14 national level projects that help children with #autism It’s the perfect example of our Veeam Cares culture: using what we have to give back to society!
Over the past two weeks our ANZ Veeamers used their Veeam Cares hours to Clean Up Australia! Veeamers took part in an education session that addressed key sustainability issues, including pandemic related changes in behavior and business-related actions needed to make a difference. Teams all over Australia then set off to clean areas in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney - giving back to the Environment in a Veeamazing way!
