This October, our Veritiv teams were out in the community helping people. One of our Texas teams created Superhero kits for foster youth, an Atlanta team mentored 122 sixth graders through Junior Achievement, and a nationwide leadership team created 160 comfort kits for those affected by home fires. Thank you to our nonprofit partners (Impact 4 Good, American Red Cross of Georgia, FOSTERLOVE INC, Junior Achievement of Georgia) and volunteers that stepped up to help when people needed the most. In response to Hurricane Ian’s devastation across Florida, Veritiv delivered SIX tractor trailer loads (20,750 cases!!) of cleaning, hygiene, safety, and food service items to @The Salvation Army in Tampa, Florida. “We are extremely grateful to Veritiv for their recent donation of cleaning products to assist the survivors of Hurricane Ian,” said Major Thomas McWilliams, The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta. “Your support will help The Salvation Army staff and volunteers package and distribute thousands of cleaning kits to families who are still struggling to rebuild their lives.” In addition, our AAC Miami team collected and donated food, water, and supplies to communities in Naples and Ft. Myers. Our Columbia, South Carolina team sent pallets of water to Florida residents.
