GREEN BAY – Vivent Health is a nonprofit that provides many different services for those with HIV and AIDS. One of these services is their food pantry which supplies essential nutritional foods for their clients and in some cases their families as well. Vivent Health began operations in 1985 as the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin There are four clinical locations in the state — Madison, Milwaukee, Kenosha and Green Bay. The clinical locations provide all their offered services while smaller locations offer prevention, food pantry and case management services. Vivent Health has merged with locations outside of Wisconsin such as Austin, Texas; Chicago, Ill. and Denver, Colo. to name a few. The organization’s Green Bay facility is located at 445 South Adams Street, and their food pantry has been active for 25 years. Vivent Health's Leigh (Jordan) Braxton was recently featured in St. Louis Magazine as Five St. Louisans who are advocating for the St. Louis LGBTQ+ Community. Jordan Braxton has never been one to be afraid of speaking out. After seeing one of her classmates being bullied in third grade, she stood up for him and gave a speech about how “we’re all God’s children and we’re all made equal.” It was the beginning of a lifelong journey of advocacy. Through her outreach, Braxton has helped change harmful beliefs about the LGBTQ+ community. At an event in Illinois, Braxton invited a conservative man to experience her community firsthand in the hope that it might change his mind. At the end of the event, he approached the mic. “He said, ‘I was against gay people until I came and saw this show, and y’all changed my mind—I see that you all are just like me,’’’ recalls Braxton. As the statewide battle for LGBTQ+ rights grows, she says, even more allies are needed. “I need [everyone] to be standing in solidarity with me,” she says, “toe to toe, shoulder to shoulder, as I fight the injustice,
