"Our latest initiative — the Whole Foods Market Seafood Code of Conduct — is a prime example of our dedication to strengthening the rights of workers in our global seafood supply chain. Focusing specifically on labor standards onboard fishing vessels, we spent the course of a year pulling together international standards, industry best practices, feedback from suppliers and experts, and workers' lived experiences to draft this industry-leading policy." - Emily McDuff, Social Responsibility Principal Advisor

#ICYMI: Earlier this month, we opened the doors to a brand-new store in Falls Church, Virginia, anchoring a downtown multi-story retail and residential development. The 45,000+ square-foot store features 700+ local items from over 130 area suppliers and is a relocation of the Tysons store, which had proudly served the community since 1996. "Being on the L&D team means a lot! I’m surrounded by exceptional Instructional Designers and Team Leaders who do amazing work. What I’ve enjoyed most about being a part of L&D is seeing the direct impact our work has on the Team Members. Having an opportunity to contribute to something bigger than myself is my ‘Why’. The training L&D has developed over the past year has provided Team Members across Whole Foods the chance to grow both professionally and personally." - Donavan Jackson, Learning & Development Analyst

"The people I work with five days a week are my number one reason for staying with Whole Foods Market. I’ve heard so many others talk about staying for the people, and I have to say it’s real: We show up for each other in so many ways. I also love working for a place with such a strong Purpose of nourishing people and the planet; it isn't just lip service, it’s who we are as a company, and you get to hear it in the decisions leaders make and in the “whys” behind every brand partner we have. I’ve had really great leaders who are fully bought in on developing me and my team, while valuing who we are as people. I had the opportunity to take a sabbatical in 2023 that my leaders strongly encouraged, which enabled me to spend six weeks traveling with my husband. That time off really helped me reset and be ready for all work my team has done over the last year. There are several open roles within our Analytics department right now, which is a great place to be! Grocery is a critical industry since everyone needs to eat, and analytics is an exciting area where everything we do helps shape how consumers get what they need. My team is uniquely placed to work very cross-functionally, and we love telling the total business story and being completely customer obsessed in every recommendation we make." - Bekah Burch, Sr. Team Leader, Marketing Analytics 💚💚💚 We're growing with Purpose. "I joined the Promotion Analytics team as a Senior Analyst in 2019, using my retail knowledge to help redefine what promo analytics could deliver to our business partners moving from reporting to insights. I transitioned to become the team’s technical liaison and helped develop a suite of promotion reporting in a new tool, managing new metrics and methodologies along the way. From there I became the Principal Analyst of Customer Analytics in late 2021, helping democratize customer data across the company and building a lot of cross-functional partnerships. In 2024, I had the opportunity to become the Senior Team Leader of the Business, Customer and Marketing Analytics, where I spend my time leading strategic conversations around business performance, discovering how customer and marketing strategies support broader initiatives and focusing on the development of the analysts I work with each day." - Bekah Burch, Sr. Team Leader, Marketing Analytics

"When I first joined, I never imagined this turning into a lifelong career. My wife and I had just gotten married. I was in my late 20s, renting an apartment, with no kids and no clear idea of where life would take us. Twenty-five years later, I look back and see how this company became the foundation for everything I’ve built in my life. " - Joe Greenlee, Store Team Leader
