Astronomical costs for family insurance premiums. In order to have my family on the insurance through this company, it would have cost me nearly $1500 per month. This was beyond cost prohibitive and even paying for just myself cost nearly $300 per month. The deductibles were very high and the insurance did not pay for a single thing until the yearly deductibles were met. So, not only was the premiums outrageous, but you had to pay $2000 for the individual deductible to boot before it even began covering anything.

401K is good and company match is a big plus when many companies these days are not matching.

Insurance premiums are high and I had to purchase my short term disability from a 3rd party company

Obamacare made the insurance package terrible. Two options, horrible and worse. The better plan has a $4500 deductible. There's no pension for working here all your life. 401k with 3% match.

All benefits tended to be far too high of premiums to the employee. Approximately half of my bi-weekly paycheck went to taxes and benefits.

For a private EMS service the company offer good benefuts package. The 401 K is optional but they put up to 10% of your annual salarie, good discounts on health insurance wirh different options for coverage, heath, dental and vision coverages, here in Orlando vacation time is about 3.5 hrs per pay period every other week for the first 5 yrs. sick time here is good I think is 100 hrs a yr, sorry I don't use sick as much as others. I wish vacation time were better to give them 5 stars. Salaries for experience personnel is worth it. Double time for full time employees on 10 holidays a yr.

The best part is that the benefits kick in quick. The worst part is that we didn't have an HR representative on site to explain them well.
