Job Training

I feel training could always be better, but AT&T has done a good job training their reps whom I have met

It is way too idealized during training. Real world application rarely works. You're not taught systems. You're not taught promotions. That is something you learn on your own or through virtual training that explains things poorly. If you have a good boss, you'll learn quickly, though. I always taught my employees personally. The information sank in faster and much more soundly.

Some times it is very lacking . I had some training way after the release of the product.

Depends on the job. I think customer-facing jobs do undergo significant training, but most corporate support jobs are on-the-job training.

you get paid training, and you really learn ATT invests a great deal in training their employees

Good, but it still doesn't stop them from giving out lay off notices

The T-University is quite good in providing nano-degrees and online degree options with Georgia-Tech etc. that is provided at a discount for employees
