Maternity & Paternity Leave

I like that they allow leave for adoption.

There is paternity leave now, but nothing to write home about. Maternity leave is standard 6 weeks plus your FMLA max (unpaid), you can "bank and roll" 10 vacation days now which is helpful when planning out leave to sprinkle in through that period so you still take home pay.

HR makes it easy to stay at home with your newborn without having to worry about your paycheck.

Maternity leave is solid (paid for at least 6 weeks, plus additional unpaid), but paid paternity leave or adoption leave is limited compared to other similar companies

The child bearing parent gets a generous leave while the non-child bearing parent I believe should get a longer leave than what is currently offered.

Acuity offers what many other places do for maternity and paternity leave. I believe it is 5 days for paternity and 6 weeks for maternity. I personally believe as a society we should be doing better than this, but I can't really fault Acuity for being par for the course in this area.

Maternity is at the federal minimum, more would be excellent. The fact that there's any paternity leave at all does seem significant in the US.
