Used to be a great plan, until a year ago when they switched it to a savings account that they put some calculated amount in. But most places don't even have a pension anymore, I don't see Allstate having one 10 years from now, they will let everyone know that they have done extensive research and have found no one else is providing a pension so they are going to follow suit.

The pension plan was a very nice perk. Totally vested after 7 years I think. Able to roll over to other investments when you leave the company.
