Mechanical department: 401K with Fidelity; no match. Vacation doesn't start until 12 months employed, then you start with a week. At 24 months you get two weeks, three at year 8, four at year 17, and five at year 25. Major medical, dental, & vision is $204 per month for one person or the whole family. $ 20 regular doctor, $35 for specialist, $75 for ER; waived if admitted, covered yearly vision screenings, and covered twice a year dental screenings; $50 deductible for single and $100 deductible for family . Prescriptions are $5-10 generic. Military leave is only paid during reserve/guard annual tour. 20,000 ADD plan. 10 paid holidays. The worst thing about our benefits package is that we are up for contract negotiations and Amtrak wants to gut our benefits to save them money. We'll see what happens.
