Health Insurance is great. Health Savings Account, which you can use TAX-FREE for healthcare expenses... Best investment account on the market today! Plus CHS will contribute $1,100 each year to your account ($2,150 for family plans). Once you understand the plan, you can actually make money from it if you elect to invest the money in your account.

It is literally terrible. You can barely afford to go to the doctors. Every employee hates it and they have scored low on Employee Satisfaction surveys for the last two years because of it. Still have changed nothing.

Catastrophic insurance that you're forced to pay for. High premiums, extremely high deductible that you might meet at the end of December just in time for it to start all over again.

good i guess it was but it seems Novant Healths health insurance is better than CHS.

No choice of plans, very expensive with little to no coverage. Feels like we employees are being ripped off.

Coverage declined year after year while premiums, deductibles and out of pocket expenses continued to increase. Onsite Pharmacy provider had the worse experiences with our own pharmacy and would rather go to a Chain Pharmacy, however, if you did you were penalized.

The health insurance is favorable. The recent switch to a consumer driven plan has been challenging for teammates because it requires a more involved look at finances and planning

You basically have no insurance until your deductible is paid

Employees are "rewarded" with money into their HSA for healthy behaviors. There is only one plan offered and it requires extensive out of pocket payments. Not a good option for an employee or family member with extensive health needs.
