Vacation & Paid Time Off

It's say indeed I work part-time UPS for 8 years now, and I get not only 3 weeks off a year but I get 8 days that are called option days. I can call in up to 1 hour before my scheduled start time and simply say to my supervisor " Hey, I'm taking an option day today, I'll see you tomorrow " and that's it......I don't have to work, and I get paid for my 4 hour shift. They can't deny it or say no. It's " MY OPTION " .I'm not asking or requesting the day.....I'm literally " TELLING " them I will be taking an option day and there's nothing they can do about it nor can they discipline me for doing so regardless of how short notice I give. Ohhh the joy of a union job.

Average american time off. I think you got a week after the first year.

Full-time employees get 2 weeks per year that increases with tenure. A week is given in January and in July.

You have to accrue it, and you earn more with years of service.

The intervals between 2, 3 , and 4 weeks vacation are spread too far apart.

You get 1 week of paid vacation "full-time" on Jan and another on July. We only get 5 paid holidays per calendar year.
