Match 75% up to 8% plus 2% employer contribution. Decent investment options.

Best is financial advisors and assistance in planning for free, as well as higher "match" rate than many companies (so more free money from them to match what YOU contribute than other comparable competitors)

Boeing no longer host a retirement plan that the baby boomers are use to seeing.

I will receive a Pension, but new employees are not eligible. That is one benefit that has surpassed some other local companies benefits.

Extra 401K match for newer hires that don't qualify for the pension that has been phased out.

Decent low-fee options. However, Boeing artificially limited employees contributions to 25% for no apparent reason.

My retirement plan was great. New plans are not as good in my opinion

There has always been a pension, a great benefit for retirement when you obviously don't know how long you will live and you may outlive your personal savings. Unfortunately, pensions are being phased out. Some current engineers are still getting pension contributions, but these will stop soon and the pensions will be frozen in time until retirement, meaning they will not be nearly as good as they could have been. And for prospective employees, there is no pension option at all. Too bad.
