Work From Home

As long as your manager and client approve working from home, the firm is very flexible about this.

If you can find a remote contract - and they're few and far between - BAH is really great about it. I was able to work from home for a contract and I was the most productive and engaged as I've ever been. But...those opportunities are scarce and most of the time you have to be inordinately lucky or have an "in" with senior management. I simply got lucky. Once that engagement ended, BAH didn't work very hard in finding me other remote opportunities.

Love to have the flexibility to work from home especially as a parent.

Depends on the contract supported

Work wherever, as long as you get the work done. The challenge is that the flexibility sometimes masks the fact that you are working all the time, 24/7/365. So, yes, you can attend an event at your child's school or take care of a medical or car appointment during the week (if you have time), but you will end up working late to make up the time.

Very open to working from home so long as you get your work done. Only problem is there is less structure and team collaboration if you are a new employee.

Completely depends on your project/client/work space. I've never been able to work from home and instead even when client site is closed for federal holiday I need pre-approved training or take PTO. It helped when BAH switched to the federal holiday schedule, but still not the best. Misleading concept.
