Job training is haphazard with no definitive timeline. Poorly executed, as well as not extensive enough. Often places people on the floor on their own with very training done. Lots of video training, not done in real time. Lack of leadership roles that have patience to train.

Best thing was the person training me had done it for a long time and knew the in and outs.

You barely get any training. They make you go through a "class" on the computer, then you watch someone for a day and they basically force you to start doing things without teaching much. Get very frustrated when you get confused and expect too much out of brand new employees. A girl was yelled at on her second day!

Training was very specific and you got paid, but it took about 5-6 hours

Theres really not time for proper training. First you watch a series of videos and then get thrown out on the floor for hands on training and hope you can remember what you learned in the video.

Best thing is you get paid and they don't take taxes out of that.
Worst thing is that training is not in-depth and it is too short to get everything. They are not thorough.

My manager stayed by my side for most of my shift teaching me how to brew the coffee and ice tea and other basic tasks. It wasn't until later that I learned that the only reason they did was because my mom was a regular customer and they didn't want her to think they were being irresponsible by leaving me alone to fend for myself, which is exactly what they do.
