The health insurance at Eaton sucks. I took my son to the doctor, paid $125 just for a basic visit. Paid over $100 for a yearly physical. Paid $0 at my last job for my kids physicals. If you compare the mass amount of people at Eaton compared to the last company I worked at, they have a huge amount more at Eaton. Yet the insurance is the lowest covering insurance I have ever heard of.

Medical insurance is horrible and getting worse (especially if you live in Pittsburgh). They benchmark themselves against manufacturing companies which presents a very challenging recruiting knowledge workers whose benefits packages are typically much better.

benefits package is similar to like companies. More emphasis being put on employee knowledge of costs, which is okay. But in my experience, medical offices are not amenable to questions about cost of procedures. Offices still think insurance just covers it and don't ask. The reality is insurance doesn't cover everything and the coding of procedures is critical.
