They don't offer differentiated sick days from vacation. I think they either need to increase their overall PTO offering to accomodate for both sick and vacation or offer a different bank of sick days specifically.

Sick days/PTO are accrued on a weekly basis and go up on a yearly basis and is very fair.

PTO is earned as one lump sum, sick or vacation it all comes from the same bank so an unexpected illness in winter or spring can mess up your vacation plans for summer or fall
