Work From Home

Generally managers would like for their employees to be in the office, but there are flexibility should the need to WFH is needed.

F5 prefers you to be in the office. A lot happens over cubicle walls, and in spontaneous meetings in conference rooms, and they don't want you to miss that. But when you have specific deadlines/projects you are working on, and have permission from your manager, even extended work-at-home for a couple of days is possible.

It depends on the group that you work with. In general working from home is tolerated though because there is a lack of office space at the Seattle campus and commuting in by car is discouraged to reduce the total traffic in the city and surrounding area.

They allow work from home. But I am not sure if you can do it for an extended period of time as I have not done it. All I know is you can work from home

Flexible hours are allowed but work from home is not allowed. This is poor as compared to other top companies.

This perk is awesome! Some departments have more flexibility than others, but the company culture embraces working off-site and the tools and resources are available to work from home (or work from anywhere) whenever needed. Plus, flexible hours are offered and many departments will let individuals determine their own hours: Noon-8pm, or 6am-2pm... whatever is best for your schedule.
